Book excerpt: This book aims to provide clinicians and students with the scientific and clinical information necessary to improve their outcomes in implant dentistry. The authors have succeeded described in detail all approaches and planning rationals to benefit the most those who are new to implant dentistry. The opening chapter deals with pre-clinical studies which support the biological understanding of implant rehabilitation. This is followed by one chapter that describes the clinical outcomes up to five years of follow-up of the Grand Morse™ Implant System. The next chapter covers all the current technology for implant-guided surgery. Chapters four and five describe successfully the prosthetics options for digital rehabilitations which cover single units, bridges, and fixed full-arches using the partnership with a dental lab or the chairside equipment. This is followed by chapter six, which deals with treatment considerations for a well-established technique for double fixed full-arch rehabilitation with immediate loading, and summarized all the workflows to facilitate the procedure from initial visits to prosthesis delivery. The final chapter highlights biomaterials options to achieve predictable soft and bone tissue repair or regeneration, as well as the use of slow active oxygen release therapy to optimize the healing of soft tissues. All the content presented in the book is profusely illustrated with photographs and diagrams. We hope this book provides a great experience for all clinicians interested in implant dentistry.
