In addition, the capabilities and limitations of these vessels are weighed against smaller, more conventional vessels. Conclusions based upon current trends, indicate that the super tanker will play a limited roll in future military operations; however, the super cargo ship (in the form of a giant barge ship) may very well meet many future military logistical requirements.
