Vinnie DeAngelis, a Private Detective is called in by Sylvia's mother, to locate her. Vinnie is assisted by Carlo, an Italian Police Officer, who is also Sylvia's uncle. They find that a case they had worked on together in the past, comes back to haunt them. They realize that no one can be trusted, not even the police. Vinnie and Carlo work this case from the gritty streets of Boston and scenic Revere to a tranquil rural forested area of New Hampshire, finding lies, deceit and dead bodies along the way.
