So can you imagine how it must have felt when the doctor said to these three children, Your father has cancer and has only 6 months to live! There are no words to express our family's sorrow that day! But from that day forward, we decided that this journey God had us on would be one that inspired others; uplifted those who were being challenged the way we were being challenged; and we would give God all the honor and glory for all that He had done for us and would continue to do for us. Douglas said to us, I am going to beat this thing with God's help, my family and my friends! He fought to the very end of his life with amazing strength, faith and love of God, family and friends. And so our journey began . I feel so blessed that God placed so many people in our path as we shared our journey. God truly was the strength that we needed to get through each day. God brought us all together at this particular time and place in our lives.
