The convergence performance of LCMA is compared to that of its transversal counterpart in equalizing the distortion of four progressively more stressing f-mite impulse response channels for 8-PSK and 16-QAM signals. The results indicate that while the convergence behavior of both algorithms depends strongly on the transmitted constellation, LCMA exhibits superior performance for 16-QAM as the spectral dynamic range of the channel increases.
