After living a year in Louisiana they moved back to North Carolina in 1956. In that year he was called to the North Canton Baptist Chureh, Canton, North Carolina. Since then he has served seven churches. At present he is pastor of Abee's Grove Baptist Church, Valdese, from Which he Will retire December 29, 1991. He has served this church since May, 1976. He also taught at Fruitland Baptist Bible Insti tute for 25 years. He has taught more than 75 Seminary Extension Courses. He has served in this and other Associations in many positions, and has served on many committees. At present he is Seminary Extension Director.
