Book excerpt: The analysis carried out in this study is based on primary data gathered from Polish SMEs in two selected provinces of Poland. This work presents the research methodology that enables to determine factors of SMEs survival, growth and employment creation. In particular, it identifies the ideological approach selected for the purpose of this research, represented by a positive epistemological approach. Additionally, its purpose is to present the theoretical foundations of SMEs research, state the hypotheses and outline the theoretical model. This book provides an in-depth analysis of the survey results using statistical and econometric techniques and employing STATA statistical package to work with large datasets. The aim of this work is to find and examine the factors that are significant for the success, survuval and growth of Polish firms.
