Book excerpt: Microwave conductivity ratios and cyclotron resonance absorption linewidths are measured in xenon afterglow plasmas using microwave propagation and pulsed swept-frequency techniques. The momentum-transfer cross section Q(em) for electrons of energy up to 1 eV is best represented by an electron velocity (m/sec) dependence of Qem (v). The results are in general agreement with the available literature except near the Ramsauer minimum. The dissociative electron-ion recombination in xenon 300K plasmas was determined. (Author).
