This study was conducted by the Nebraska Department of Labor in collaboration with the Nebraska Department of Economic Development and the Bureau of Business Research at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. The Central Nebraska Survey of Hiring and Training Needs is designed to gather detailed information on the hiring and training needs and priorities of Grand Island area businesses. Specifically, information was gathered from employers about the types of occupations they are searching for and hiring; the types of degrees, certifications, and skills that occupations require; and the types of training they provide.
