Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This review presents results of recent investigations concerning the polarization and interference effects that arise in radiation processes such as Bremsstrahlung on targets with electron core, photo-effects in bichromatic electromagnetic field, femtosecond photon echo in nanocrystals, and associated phenomena. Some ideas are applied to the calculation of the cross section of atomic ionization by electron impact in the Born-Compton approximation. The results can be used for analyzing the radiation phenomena in plasmas in a wide temperature range including storage ring plasma.
