We are living proof of the success of two middle aged people who wanted to lose weight and get fit. But what can you get from this? Well, I look at both short term tactics for weight loss, and the issues of longer term maintenance of weight. I show you how we manipulated certain hormones to control hunger. I show you how we avoided the unpleasant side effects of weight loss, such as anxiety; low blood pressure and altered bowel habits. I reveal how we dealt with the problem of food cravings and lack of satisfaction, and how we staved off hunger pangs. I explain how we dealt with our body's stubborn refusal to shift any more weight, and how we got off those plateaus. I talk about the possibility of reducing the size of fat cells and how it may be possible to eliminate them altogether without surgery.
