Kate O’Halloran, barely in her 20s and not interested in feminism, has snagged an interview with suffragette legend and ERA proponent Alice Paul, aged 93. Arriving at her small cottage in Connecticut, Kate, unbeknownst to Paul, has no desire to discuss the ERA but to uncover the truth behind Paul’s tortured illegal imprisonment in 1917, a secret that has remained buried for over 50 years. By revealing parts of her past, told through flashbacks, Alice hopes to achiever her biggest coup in the little time she has left. In doing so, both women confront the men in their lives who have aided or stood as roadblocks to their desires. Will both be willing to share their deepest secrets despite the costs? Drama One-act. 40-50 minutes 10-30 actors, large female cast Best One Act Play Award at the 2017 Halo Awards (CT)
