Book excerpt: Excerpt from Transactions of the Gynaecological Society of Boston, 1905 A careful perusal of the first seven volumes of the Transactions, 1869 - 187 2, shows that the work that was begun has been monumental in its results as does also that of the volume that appeared in 1889, besides the fact that there have been presented many able papers which have been read at various times, and the discussions that have been carried on both before and subsequent to this last date. The matters comprised within this publication are for the most part taken from the records of the secretary, and therefore any errors that may appear in the record of the discussions should be attributed to the seemingly difficult task of always interpreting correctly the expression of a speaker, especially when the remarks are presented in an extemporaneous manner.
