Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Two particle correlations at low relative momentum have been examined using the Plastic Ball detector for the system 400 MeV/nucleon Ca + Ca. The unbound 5Li ground state yield has been extracted from the p-4He correlation and compared with a Chemical Equilibrium model along with the yield of light bound clusters. Source-size radii were measured for both Ca + Ca and Nb + Nb, at 400 MeV/nucleon from p-p correlations. The radii were found to have a cube-root dependence on the proton multiplicity of the event and the deduced thermal freezeout density was found to be about 25% of normal nuclear matter density. 15 references, 8 figures.
